1. About these terms

These terms cover your use of this website and the butchery, homekill and processing services provided by De Bauchery, of 169 Kiripaka Road, Tikipunga, Whangārei. By using the site or placing an order with us, you agree to them.

2. Quotes and pricing

Any rates shown on this website are a guide only and include GST unless stated otherwise. Homekill and processing charges are calculated on actual carcass weight and the cuts selected on your signed cut sheet, so the final invoice may differ from the guide rates published here. We will confirm pricing before work begins if you ask us to.

3. Bookings, cut sheets and cancellations

  • Processing is booked in advance so chiller and bench space is available.
  • A cut sheet must be fully completed and signed before cutting starts. We work to what is on the sheet.
  • If you need to change or cancel a booking, please let us know as early as you can.
  • Changes requested after cutting has begun may not be possible.

4. Your animal and your catch

You are responsible for ensuring that any animal or recreational catch delivered to us was lawfully obtained and is presented in a clean, cool and sound condition. We may decline anything we consider unfit to process. Wild game and recreational catch are processed on the basis that they are for your own consumption.

5. Collection and storage

We will contact you when your order is ready. Orders should be collected promptly, in suitable chilled containers. Product left uncollected beyond a reasonable period may incur storage charges or be disposed of, and we will try to reach you before that happens.

6. Retail purchases

Product bought over the counter is sold on the basis that it is transported, stored and cooked appropriately once it leaves the shop. Please raise any concern about a purchase with us as soon as possible so we can put it right.

7. Consumer rights

Nothing in these terms limits your rights under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 or the Fair Trading Act 1986 where those Acts apply to you.

8. Website content

We take care to keep this website accurate, but service descriptions, availability and pricing can change without notice. Photographs may include stock imagery used for illustration. The site is provided as-is and we are not liable for loss arising from reliance on it.

9. Intellectual property

The De Bauchery name, logo, site design and written content belong to De Bauchery and may not be reproduced without permission.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by New Zealand law and the New Zealand courts have jurisdiction over any dispute.
